Admittedly and frustratingly, I didn't have enough time to explore the shopping scene in Buenos Aires as much as I would have liked. I was so busy running around the city catching up with my cousins and life longs friends, too busy eating my way through the city (those empadas!!!!) and too busy site-seeing with my Frenchie as it was his first visit to BA, that alas, shopping hardly made its way into my agenda, my leisurely pleasure :)
I did, however, discover that this is a VERY costly city to buy apparel and accessories, but if you do want to splurge, here are the boutiques that caught my eye:

Walking along the colourful neighbourhood of Palermo Soho, I stumbled upon Jackie Smith, a luxury fashion brand born, bred and based in Buenos Aires. "Chic, hand-crafted accessories inspired by this beautiful city and modern women everywhere. Joy, creativity and an appreciation for life's little things are our hallmarks, from handbags and shoes to in-store experiences. Jackie Smith was founded with a rebellious spirit and a naive objective: to design and build a fashion experience that reflected our commitment to, quite simply, making it beautiful."
Why oh why did I not purchase one of their purses (and a pair or 2 of their trainers)? Ah yes, because I was traveling with my 3 impatient-when-it-comes-to-shopping children...

Head off to an outdoor shopping centre at Distrito Arcos Premium Outlet—there are many stores and coffee shops to enjoy. I found myself drawn to literally the tiniest boutique ever! This was Cajú Bags, a family business created by a mother and her daughters, manufacturing 100% leather bags. These little purses make for the perfect gift!
I bought this pink cutie...

Next up - for thrift lovers! I had the best time at Galpon de Ropa in Palermo. Discover this clothing warehouse of pre-loved fashion, secondhand clothing, and unique opportunities for sustainable shopping...I loved the way the apparel is arranged according to colours.

My teen and I had an absolute ball shopping here!

Last but not least is the high-end Avenida Alvear, perhaps the most elegant avenue in the city (and yes, the French embassy and the Alvear Palace Hotel are nearby). It begins at Carlos Pellegrini Square and ends in front of the Torcuato de Alvear monument.
The two boutiques that caught my attention were Curatoria and Santesteban. I loved the beautifully curated Argentinian sophistication emanating from everything.
Stepping in, one can breathe in the elegant Argentinian leather craftsmanship and style...
